Concert of the Braunschweig Youth Symphony Orchestra
Old masters meet young enthusiasm
On May 16th, orchestra enthusiasts can expect a diverse program of powerful orchestral playing, featuring works from Dvořák and Humperdinck to Rachmaninoff and Ravel, including excellent solos and wonderful vocal performances. Adding to the excitement will be the remarkable joy and enthusiasm of the musically gifted young musicians, aged twelve to twenty, for this is the hallmark of the JSO: their exceptionally fresh and dynamic interpretation of classical pieces, which conductor In-Kun Park sensitively draws out of his orchestra time and again.
Saal am Kliff, Strandstr. 25 in Wenningstedt. The event starts at 17:00 PM, doors open 30 minutes prior, admission is free. Donations to the JSO are gratefully accepted.

Experience a diverse range of music right by the sea.
The Wenningstedt Cliff Sound Festival 2026 transforms summer on Sylt into a seaside stage. At three special locations along the Wenningstedt promenade – the main staircase, the hall terrace, and the dune corner – guests and locals alike can experience a diverse musical program from 18:00 PM to 22:00 PM: On selected dates, 15 DJs and live acts will perform (Wednesdays), 5 singer-songwriters (Sundays), and 5 bands will provide atmospheric music (Mondays). A total of around 20 different acts will ensure unforgettable sundowner moments.
Following the successful Easter warm-up, the fun continues on May 13th with DJ Christian Lidsba (N-JOY) and Florian Fleischer (electric guitar) at the main staircase. You can find all further dates and acts by searching for “KliffKlang” in the [website/publication name]. Calendar of Events.

Beach gymnastics gets everyone moving in a good mood - regardless of their fitness level!

Bargains, treasures & browsing
The traditional flea market at the mini-golf course will take place again this year – regularly from mid-May to the end of September, every Tuesday from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm. But only in good weather!
Additional dates are planned for Pentecost and, during the high season, also for Sundays.
There's plenty to browse here: tableware, antiques and maritime items, jewelry, clothing, and a bit of kitsch. A colorful mix presented by friendly exhibitors.

New Year's bathing
The new bathing season will open in Wenningstedt-Braderup on January 01st:
120 brave souls plunge into the cold waters for the New Year's Day swim, cheered on by thousands of spectators. The spectacle takes place at 14.00 p.m. – weather permitting.
Safety will be ensured by rescue teams on land and water. Participation is limited to 120 people.
