Oh how beautiful is Braderup!

Sylt gem with lots of nature

Our Braderup is the perfect place to unwind and relax on Sylt. Those longing for peace, nature, and open spaces should take a break in Braderup on Sylt. This small Frisian village is nestled between Munkmarsch, Wenningstedt, Kampen, and the Wadden Sea.

Here, the hustle and bustle seems far away; instead, there are pretty Frisian houses and nature as far as the eye can see.

Discover Braderup's nature

individually or in a group

There are different ways to experience Braderup’s nature: Either on your own or on a guided hike with the nature conservation community. Permanent exhibition in the nature center provides a lot of information.

If you can’t get enough of fresh air, you should Participate in a nature bike tour: From Braderup, the tour travels through five different nature reserves on Sylt: Braderup Heath, Nielönn, Kampener Vogelkoje, North Sylt, and the dune landscape on the Red Cliff. On the tour, you'll gain insights into the uniqueness of these special areas and learn more about the nature and history of the island of Sylt.

The barn in the curve

In the large barn in the curve towards Kampen there are two special gems:

The leather manufacturer You can watch how all kinds of handicrafts, bags, and clothing are made from leather. And, of course, you can also purchase the products yourself.

The Café Curve In the small, industrial-chic dining room, you can enjoy fresh coffee, delicious cakes, and small treats, all without the hustle and bustle of the pedestrian zone. And the walls are also worth a look: Sylt artists often exhibit their work here.

Coco & James concept store

Coco & James is a concept store that places great emphasis on quality and sustainability in its selection of items. The "feel-good" products are therefore sourced from fair and regional production.

The store's goal: "No mainstream, no boring designs and items you've seen everywhere." Instead: new and exciting products.

Changing exhibitions and events also await you in the concept store.

A touch of Brazil in Braderup

On the sunny terrace in front of the concept store Coco & James, Brazilian chef Heitor serves street food such as açaí, bean stew, fluffy spelt waffles... and, of course, really good coffee!
Its red bus and the entire atmosphere radiate joie de vivre and coziness.
A great spot for a break during a bike ride or walk!

Strawberry Paradise Braderup

Braderup is also the home of organic farming on Sylt: The Strawberry Paradise Braderup is a pick-your-own strawberry plantation during the summer months.

The charming farm shop at Erdbeerparadies is open year-round. It offers a wide selection of regional and organically grown produce. Always seasonal, and many come directly from the Sylt fields.
