Our events and activities

Our Henner Concert - Mini Festival with participants of the Henner Krogh Advancement Award

Besides a varied concert evening, you can expect plenty of inspiration for up-and-coming musicians, a meeting place for like-minded enthusiasts, a source of information for the next grant award, and an opportunity for exchange within the Sylt music scene. As we all know, music brings people together.

The event starts at 19:30 pm, but from 18:30 pm onwards there is an opportunity to get together for a chat and drinks in the foyer of the Haus am Kliff.

Wenningstedter KliffKlang 2026

Experience a diverse range of music right by the sea!

This event series brings music to three locations right by the sea on selected dates throughout the summer. Whether it's a DJ and live act on the main staircase, relaxed singer-songwriters on the terrace, or atmospheric music from bands at the Dune Corner (the spot right by the surfers between Gosch and Twisters) – from 18:00 pm to 22:00 pm, weather permitting, the cliffside transforms into an open-air stage. You can find the dates in the event calendar; simply search for "Kliffklang".

45th Wenningstedt Village Pond Festival

The Wenningstedt Village Pond Festival is a highlight among Sylt’s village festivals.

Every last Saturday in July, the area between the village pond and Denghoog becomes a festival ground: the diverse audience looks forward year after year to the gastronomy mile, a large children's meadow with all kinds of games, fun and romping activities and the musical supporting program of the village pond festival.

New Year's bathing

Into the new year and into the cool water: What's a firmly established tradition in Wenningstedt will take place again in 2027. After the New Year's swim had to be cancelled last year due to weather, it's now time again on January 01st at 14:00 pm: into the North Sea waves!

120 daring participants will take on the refreshing ritual, creating an impressive spectacle that captivates both spectators and participants alike. Provided, of course, that the weather cooperates this time – so keeping your fingers crossed is expressly requested.

HOME BY THE SEA

The book about the village

Twenty families in or from Wenningstedt-Braderup have opened their front doors, photo albums and hearts:

"Mr. and Mrs. Pastor" tell how they found happiness at the village pond after a fiery start 25 years ago. HSV legend Holger Hieronymus is a “second home” and prefers to come when it is really “nice and windy” and lonely in Wenningstedt-Braderup. The doctor explains why he sees no greater meaning in life than accompanying people in an island village from the cradle to their deathbed. Montefusco family of artists describes her journey through the metropolises of Europe to a colorful life with three small island children.

The picture book for the whole family with truly true life stories from the village between the mudflats and the waves.
