Sylt Winter Market

December 4, 2026 - January 2, 2027

Sylt stands for enjoyment, nature, and authenticity. High-quality craftsmanship, tradition, and craftsmanship. The Christmas market is also intended to express these same values ​​and characteristics. 

Protected between the rustic winter huts and stalls, you can meet friends and family, shop to your heart's content, or simply enjoy island life.

The outdoor terrace of the Sturmhaube transforms into a cozy Christmas market. Under the heated parasol and with a direct view of the North Sea, you can look forward to a fantastic pre-Christmas offer:

Advent magic with Jörg Müller

On the Advent weekends

The picturesque wooden stalls smell of cookies and mulled wine specialties, and alongside toys and handicrafts, you'll find small treats of the highest quality. 
Well, you already suspected that you would be treated to particularly delicious culinary delights here at Jörg Müller, right? 
And since special creations are simply more enjoyable in a stylish ambience, magical decorations and illuminations create such a wonderful pre-Christmas feeling that it doesn't actually have to be Christmas Eve at all.

Joy to the Mother

27. - 29. November 2026

Christmas splendor in the east of the island: For over 30 years, the Morsum Christmas market has enchanted visitors with festively decorated stalls and booths. While you'll find Christmas decorations, handicrafts and antiques, dolls, hand-painted glass balls, jewelry, and much more at Muasem Hüs, the outdoor hut village offers magical outdoor stalls.

Lister Christmas Market

27. - 29. November 2026

Look forward to a contemplative first weekend of Advent, which will awaken the anticipation of Christmas with winter scents, festive sounds, and special moments for the whole family. Lovingly designed market stalls invite you to browse, while winter delicacies will take care of your culinary needs. Younger visitors can also look forward to a varied children's program. 

A special highlight awaits you at the opening. Let yourself be surprised and enjoy the magical atmosphere together. 

Kampen Christmas Market

4. - 6. December 2026

At the Kampen Christmas market, you can stroll among the exhibitors in a cozy atmosphere, surrounded by magical lights, and be inspired by typical island products, jewelry, art objects, knitwear, and embroidery. 

Outside, visitors can get into the Christmas spirit with music, punch, Futjes (sweet German sausages), and kale soup.

Hörnum Christmas Market

Appointment will be announced

Festive atmosphere, sparkling lights and the scent of punch and treats: The Christmas market at the Hörnum fire station invites you to cozy Advent days.

Look forward to lovingly decorated stalls , Santa Claus , campfire bread , crafting fun for children , and many sweet surprises in the candy workshop . To conclude the event, there will be a Christmas tree sale for you to enjoy at home.

Advent markets in November

Getting in the mood for Advent

The pre-Christmas season begins on Sylt as early as November, with tranquil Christmas markets full of atmosphere. The first crackling wooden stalls open their doors, the scent of mulled wine and roasted almonds wafts across the island, and lovingly handmade gifts await discovery. Everything is still authentic, cozy, and filled with the magic of the approaching holidays.

Keitum Barn Market

November 21 & 22, 2026

The Sylt country butcher shop cordially invites you to its 15th barn market – a day full of North Frisian coziness, culinary delights and handcrafted diversity.

Around the lovingly decorated barn, various exhibitors present their handcrafted products and creative works – from stylish decorative items to handmade knitted goods and regional delicacies.

Of course, refreshments are also available: two to three food stalls will treat visitors to hearty and sweet specialties. The offerings are complemented by a convivial atmosphere , comfortable seating in the barn and outdoor areas , and the typical dose of North Frisian hospitality that makes the market so special every year.

Light Festival of the Sylt Workshops

November 5 & 6, 2026

The premises of the Sylt workshops are transformed into a showcase and market for homemade goods and baked goods. The workshops are particularly well-known and popular for their large selection of handmade candles.

Danish Christmas markets

November 8th & 
14. - 15. November 2026

Things get particularly hyggelig at the Danish Christmas markets on Sylt. These traditionally take place in November. 

Here, handicrafts and Christmas decorations, decorative items, and delicacies are presented. And, as is traditional Danish fare, there are also hot dogs, Æbleskiver (a kind of Christmas tree), and Juleglögg (a kind of Christmas tree). Haven't heard of it yet? Glögg... good luck... little bells... You'll have to stop by.

Advent market on the 
Grounds of the Asklepios Nordseeklinik

November 29th & 
13 December 2026

There's always something new to discover at the cozy Advent market on the grounds of the Asklepios Nordseeklinik on the first and third Sundays of Advent in December. A diverse selection of artisan products and lovingly crafted items awaits you – from decorations and jewelry to hats and sculptures made from beach debris. Warming drinks and delicious pastries invite you to enjoy them.

A must-see at the Sylt Christmas markets

What does Christmas on Sylt taste like? Quite simply – like Futjes! Never heard of them? Then you absolutely must try them! The best place to do so is at the Café Ingwersen stand at the Morsum Christmas market. These round dough balls with raisins are simply addictive. And you can easily make them at home with a small pancake pan.
