PETRO-SURF Festival Sylt

Air-cooled cultural mix on Sylt: Look forward to vintage cars, cool music, art, surf action.

  • 26. to 28. June 2026

  • Visitors' Day: June 27

  • Samoa, Rantum

  • varied program

Surfing and Porsche don't really fit together for you? After all, what do long-haired surfers and flashy cars have in common? Where should we start? Both are full of clichés, but we're happy to break away from them. Because what seems less obvious at first glance are the passionate cultures that both themes represent. When you add the island of Sylt as a third protagonist, and in this case, the special venue, a thrilling symbiosis emerges. Porsche and Sylt unite the image of exclusivity and tradition. And not just in the here and now, but for several decades now.

The Petro-Surf event will take place in Rantum again in 2026: With the Beach Restaurant Samoa Seahorse An ideal location has been found that allows visitors to experience surfing and air-cooled Porsche vehicles with all their senses. To immerse themselves in the world of Porsche surfing, there will once again be a surf contest, various exhibitions, as always a selection of air-cooled cars, and much more!

Am June 27, 2026 from 14 p.m. Everyone is invited to join the Petro-Surf Festival festivities for free at the Samoa Seepferdchen beach restaurant. Vehicles will be parked there, along with live DJs, food and drink stalls. Tickets are required for the remaining days.

Only a limited number of parking spaces are available on site. Therefore, we recommend that you travel by bicycle or public bus. An overflow parking area, in case all other parking spaces are full, is located here: Taatjem Deel Parking Lot, Hörnumer Strasse 60, 25980 Rantum/Sylt. It is a maximum 10-minute walk from there to Petro-Surf x Samoa Village.

Sylt is known and loved as the birthplace of German surfing.

In the early 50s, it was the Sylt lifeguards who established surfing on the island and for the first time in Germany, giving rise to a completely new culture. And this transcended generations, even with the founding of the Surf Club Sylt eV to this day. Surfing is a way of life for many generations, a shared mentality and an integral part of the island's cultural heritage. This incomparable liaison takes PETRO-SURF Once again an opportunity to bring together people who love freedom, exclusivity and individualism for a weekend in a special setting.
