Our artists 2025
The harbor festival offered a musical program that made waves! During the day, the traditional Sylt Shanty Choir, the nostalgic "Memories," Steve O'Conner from Café Utkieker and his band, and the pop/rock band "Bright Black" provided the best entertainment. The evenings began with a kids' disco, followed by Sylt DJs heating up the evening. And as the sun slowly sank into the sea, the evening turned into a party night: The cover bands "Tonados" and "Das Fiasko" set the mood and ensured a night of dancing under the open sky.
The gastronomic offer
...with savory and sweet treats, from New Zealand food trucks to top Sylt restaurants. There was truly something for every taste!
The lobster berth
The Hummerkoje from Westerland offered delicious Mediterranean specialties as well as various variations of waffles.
Motte's Grill Stand
Like every year, the Hörnum resident known as “Motte” has provided you with delicious grilled sausages and his famous Burgundy rolls.
Wharf 3
A special highlight was the stand from the award-winning restaurant Kai 3 in the Budersand Hotel. They served delicious bulled pork and baked potatoes with toppings and more.
Sylt Leisure Team
The Sylt Leisure Team brought delicious hot dogs with all the trimmings and Danish soft ice cream.
Coastal Chaos
Coastal Chaos is normally based in New Zealand, but the Hörnum-born owner came home especially for the harbor festival - with delicious “Smashed Burgers” and “Loaded Fries” on board!
King almonds
The Reinhard family's family business, "Königsmandeln," was there with all sorts of sweet delicacies. As the name suggests, they offered their so-called "Königsmandeln," which are free of additives and contain less sugar than other almonds, thus earning their name.
To participate, watch and marvel
During the day, we offered numerous hands-on activities for all ages: various workshops, face painting, the rescue dog team, and much more, ensuring a cheerful atmosphere at the harbor. And what would the harbor festival be without the legendary fireworks display on Saturday evening? Once again this year, it lit up the night sky as a sparkling highlight!
Creative workshops to participate in
In the hands-on workshops of "ArtWave," visitors of all ages were able to let their imaginations run wild: Whether modeling clay, sanding soapstone, or creating individual wooden jewelry – truly unique pieces were created with heart and hand!
Performance by the Sylt Dance School
On Friday evening at 18:45 p.m., the stage was transformed into a dazzling dance paradise: Jeanne Dreessen's Sylt dance school presented its grand performance – and enchanted the audience with a brilliant show of rhythm, elegance, and passion.
Saturday at 16:00 p.m
The crew was at the harbor festival looking for brave young pirates ready to set sail – directly from the harbor in Hörnum. As soon as everyone was on board, the adventure began: The pirate flag was raised, the deck was boarded, and the great adventure began! Of course, a pirate adventure like this would be complete without tests of courage, small mutinies, prisoners – and, of course, the exciting treasure hunt. Great fun for everyone!
The exciting pirate spectacle
Watch out, pirate raid with the pirate gang from Lingen! With rough guys, lots of noise, and plenty of humor, part of the harbor festival turned into an exciting pirate spectacle. The extensive pirate program included mysterious missions, tricky treasure hunts, and breathtaking mock battles with the pirate gang.
The highlight of the harbor festival
On Saturday evening at 22:30 p.m., a grand fireworks display lit up the sky above the harbor basin. Colorful explosions reflected in the water, providing a dazzling highlight to the festivities—an experience for the whole family!
Whether loud or quiet, fast or slow – the drumming workshop was all about playing with the four elements of rhythm. Drumming out names, feeling beats, and playing tracks together – there was a lot of drumming going on!
Glitter bar for young and old
Two creative face-painting artists made children's eyes light up at the harbor festival! Using imaginative motifs such as wild animals, blooming flowers, and cool superheroes, they transformed young guests into their favorite characters – colorful, unique, and with great attention to detail. They used only high-quality, skin-friendly paints. And adults were delighted, too: Glittery festival makeup provided sparkling highlights and truly eye-catching moments!
This year, they were there again with their friendly dogs. Children were able to pet the animals, walk with them across the bridge, and playfully experience the respectful interaction with dogs. At the same time, the rescue dog team presented their work and demonstrated how valuable the human-dog bond can be in everyday life.
Information stand and participation activities
At the Hörnum Wadden Sea Conservation Station stand, exciting discoveries awaited young and old: The wheel of fortune offered great prizes, sparkling treasures were created through amber polishing – and the National Park Administration's information stand offered fascinating insights into the wonderful world of the Wadden Sea.
The SVG late buses
