Sylt Storm Week 2026

Short days, long nights, and the untamed power of January! The "Sylt Storm Week" delivers just that, captivating locals and visitors alike with a wave of exhilarating nature and cultural events in unusual locations. The fourth edition of Storm Week is also taking place from... January 16th to 25th It's more of a hurricane than a gentle breeze and shows how inspiring it is to experience unconventional things together.

For many locals, January is the time to swap their storm-lashed home island for warmer climes. Those who stay, and all those in the know who consciously choose Sylt in January, have been rewarded with the "Sylt Storm Week" since 2023. In 2026, the SMG's wild series of events (among many other things!) offers: a glittering dance night in the legendary "Galaxis," a North Sea cold-water bathing course with professional instruction, a "Stormy Yo Day" for all those who love yoga and movement or are serious about their New Year's resolutions. And then there's also, for example, the ultimate live tattoo evening "Under Your Skin" at the Sylt Museum, the folding bike race on the promenade, and every day the opportunity to process the day's experiences in the beach sauna at "Samoa" and sweat it out in the eye of the storm.
