Every day is clean-up day! We're tackling the issue together again! Bye Bye Plastic invites you to a personal, planned, or spontaneous spring cleaning in nature with "Sylt Cleans Up." Following the tremendous success of the "Sylt Cleans Up" campaigns in spring, summer, and fall 2024, the marine conservation organization is now launching its major spring 2025 campaign.
Since the "Sylt Cleans Up" project began in April 2024, a total of 1592 people have been encouraged to collect trash on Sylt and enter their findings into the Bye Bye Plastic Cleanup Map, both individually and in groups. To date, 375 cleanups have been documented, 922 km of beaches and nature have been cleaned, and approximately 13770 liters of trash have been collected.
How can you participate? It's easy:
Grab a bag and turn your walk by the sea, in the forest, or elsewhere in the environment into an active nature conservation activity under the motto "every day is cleanup day"!
Enter your private cleanup with location, route and amount of rubbish in the interactive "Sylt cleans up" map on the Home or in the Bye Bye Plastic app.
Tell others about it! And feel free to share it on social media or in your status. Use the hashtag #sylträumtauf
Become a cleanup hero and, with a little luck, win one of 15 attractive prizes generously donated by Sylt companies and restaurants, plus, for the first time, the coveted, not-for-sale Bye Bye plastic hats.
