The start of the year on Sylt is the epitome of slowing down. And wellness, cozying up, the sound of the waves, and a fresh breeze. Looking for something to do? From New Year's Day swims to the legendary storm week, there's plenty on!
Although it's the shortest of the months, it has a very important role! It features the traditional Biike bonfire on February 21st. Our island's festival of festivals and a UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage.
Bring on spring! In March, the island offers gourmet events, shopping experiences, and the Sylt Run, one of the sporting highlights of the year. At the end of the month, you can also look forward to family weeks.
April may be unpredictable weather-wise, but these events are definitely on: Look forward to a colorful Easter on the beach, on the promenade, in Strönwai and across the island!
From the Private Open to Pentecost: May on Sylt is packed with events. Experience the start of Sylt's outdoor season. Things get sporty with the start of the Surf Cups season and the North Sea Ultra Marathon.
Cool surf vibes, roaring Harleys and snorting horses: Sylt offers a diverse range of events and good vibes in June! From Petro Surf to the Craft Beer Festival, there's plenty going on.
Bring on the summer vibes! In July you can sunbathe in a beach chair, surf in the North Sea waves, toast at the wine festival or enjoy world-class dancers at the Verdensballett in Keitum.

Even in September, Sylt offers musical delights with “Sundowner Rhythm & Beats”. In addition, the legendary Windsurf World Cup takes place at Brandenburg Beach, the biggest surfing event of the year.
