Across the island on two wheels
When a deep rumble rolls across the island from June 11th to 14th, it has nothing to do with thunder or crashing waves. Longtime Sylt fans know exactly what it is: the Harley-Davidson meeting has been attracting riders and fans of these iconic machines to the island for over two decades. Around 700 Harleys and approximately 1.000 participants are expected again this year. The tour around the island on Saturday is correspondingly long – and offers plenty of opportunity to wander among impressive technology and airbrushed artwork, starting on the promenade in Westerland, stopping at the harbor in List, and finishing in Wenningstedt at the parking lot by the mini-golf course. If you're the proud owner of a motorcycle legend, you can also join the evening Summertime Party on June 12th – Harley outfits are expressly encouraged, not suits and ties.
