And it's probably already been scientifically proven that the North Sea climate can make you hungry. This makes it all the more important that the culinary offerings from List to Hörnum know how to satisfy your hunger. Culinary art meets coastal delights – cook, enjoy & experience together

Craft Beer & Gourmet Festival

23-28 June 2026

From the 23. to 28. June 2026 The Westerland promenade transforms into a meeting place for everyone who loves good beer and fine cuisine. At the Craft Beer & Gourmet Festival, select craft breweries present their special hop creations – from regional specialties to well-known breweries from all over Germany and beyond.

Among the offerings are craft beers from renowned breweries such as Vagabund, Lahnsteiner, Pinnauer Provinzbrauerei, Ratsherrn, Lillebräu, Störtebecker, Maisels, Tegernseer, Landgang, Zillertaler, and La Trappe. Many of the beers are available not only by the bottle but also on tap – perfect for discovering the different aromas and brewing styles. Those who prefer wine will find several wine stands along the promenade offering fine wines from the Moselle, Palatinate, and Rheinhessen regions, as well as from the rest of Europe.

The food stalls are as varied as they are numerous. Besides the traditional sausage stand, there is fish and chips, tarte flambée, grilled flank steaks, pinsa, flame-grilled salmon, scampi, antipasti, game and cheese specialties, and a stand with Asian specialties.

Wednesday to Sunday from 11:00 PM to 24:00 PM
As a special highlight, Peter Kliem (formerly Rotes Kliff Kampen) will be DJing at the GoGärtchen stand on Thursday from 3 pm.

Wine Festival

July 7-12, 2026

The Sylt Wine Festival is one of those now legendary events that brings together both traditional and modern wines every year. Here, you can experience and taste numerous winemakers and their creations up close. Look forward to delicious wines from German wine-growing regions, lively discussions, and the direct proximity to the sea! Atmospheric live music creates the perfect ambiance and entices you to dance and party. With the breathtaking location overlooking the North Sea, it can only be a great evening—or even a great week! Of course, there's plenty of culinary delights to try as well.

Fine wines, Nordic flair and a convivial atmosphere – the wine festival on Sylt brings the diversity of German wine culture directly to the island.

11. to 15. November 2026

Six hosts, one mission: Make Sylt even more enjoyable!

Since 2019, top chef Holger Bodendorf has been hosting the ISLAND FOOD FESTIVAL on Sylt. Always joining him are fellow chefs from the island, the mainland, and across Europe. Next year, the host of "Landhaus Stricker" will once again invite five more island colleagues. Look forward to welcoming Jan-Philipp Berner (Söl'ring Hof), Jan Nissen-Hünding (Samoa Seepferdchen), Max Westphal (Severin*s Resort & Spa), Thomas Samson (Dorfkrug Bar & Grill), and Jörg Müller (Restaurant & Hotel Jörg Müller). Just as diverse as these Sylt establishments are, so too will be the multifaceted program of the ISLAND FOOD FESTIVAL.

Murder Mystery Dinner on Sylt

New cases, new suspense – and a murderer among the guests

Welcome to Dinner thriller – the ingenious combination of an interactive theatrical experience and culinary delights! During an excellent multi-course meal, a gripping murder mystery unfolds right between the tables. But beware: the murderer might be sitting very close to you!

Together with a professional acting ensemble, the guests become part of the investigation – intuition, humor and a good sense for suspects are required.

After over 2000 successful performances in Germany, Austria and Switzerland, the ice sea Sylt in Sylt into a crime scene where a mysterious murder case needs to be solved.
