The Hörnum Tourist Service is located diagonally opposite the Hapimag Hotel and is in the same building as the municipal office.

Who?
We're a diverse team, consisting of both native Sylt residents and stranded mainlanders—some from the other side of the world. The team is larger during the season, and in winter, the core team stays in the sunny south to hold the fort. Each of us is there for our guests, but of course, each has their own area of expertise.

Simone Kluth
Human Resources Management & Deputy Operations Management
Simone has been an asset to Hörnum for a decade, and since April, to our tourism service as well. With her cheerful disposition and a good sense of humor, she leads our staff and ensures that guests and team alike feel at home. As deputy operations manager, she is always available to provide advice and support.

Ute Weidner
Counter & Reporting
You can call yourself a Hörnum "veteran" if, like Ute, you have lived in the sunny south your whole life and know the place, as well as its inhabitants and guests, inside and out. She is your Contact person at the counter, professional when it comes to the topic beach chair rental, tourism tax and Annual spa tax goes. Nicole Lüdrichsen

After 24 years in faraway Westerland, the Hörnum native has returned to the sunny south of the island for work. In her hometown, she takes the helm of everything related to the guest counter and the development and implementation of new activities, making her a valuable addition to the tourism services team.

Nicole has been deeply rooted in Hörnum for many years and knows the place like no other. She not only brings extensive local knowledge but also a keen sense for our guests' needs. The Hörnum Tourism Service (TSH), a municipal enterprise of the town of Hörnum, is seeking a dedicated full-time employee (m/f/d) to strengthen its team at our campsite. As a tourism service provider, we are responsible for marketing our town and providing and maintaining the tourist infrastructure. This includes, among other things, operating the campsite, renting beach chairs, providing beach supervision, advising guests, organizing events, and maintaining the beaches and access points.
Your tasks:
- Reception & Entrance: Welcoming guests, checking them in, checking them out, and ensuring everyone feels completely at ease from the very first second.
- Guest care: Answering questions, giving directions, having a chat now and then – you are the friendly face of the place.
- Organization in everyday life: Telephone, email, reservations – everything that keeps the campsite running.
- Technical tasks: Minor repairs on site, replacing a broken lamp, tightening a screw here and there – just the usual stuff that comes up.
- Grounds maintenance: To ensure that everything looks tidy.

The Hörnum Tourism Service (TSH), a municipal enterprise of the town of Hörnum, is seeking a dedicated full-time employee (m/f/d) to join the operations team of the municipal maintenance depot. As a tourism service provider, we are responsible for marketing our town and providing and maintaining the tourist infrastructure. This includes, among other things, operating the campground, renting beach chairs, providing beach lifeguard services, advising visitors, organizing events, and maintaining the beaches and access points.
Your tasks
- Maintenance of public community areas and municipal traffic areas, children's playgrounds and green spaces
- All other work required by the building yard, as well as special services ordered, some with on-call duty (e.g. winter service, waste disposal, disaster relief)
You bring that with you
- Vocational training is desirable, ideally as an electrician.
- Physical resilience, teamwork skills, flexibility and social skills
- Reliable and structured work methods
- Possession of a Class B driving licence is required; possession of a Class C driving licence would also be desirable.

Your tasks include:

Our landlord service
The official DTV stars represent quality and hospitality. They signal to your guests that your vacation accommodation—be it a cozy holiday home, a charming vacation apartment, or an inviting room—has been inspected and rated according to the strict criteria of the German Tourism Association. Depending on the amenities, comfort, and service, the accommodation receives a star rating from one to five stars—from simple and cozy to first-class luxury.
