After starting in the center of Wenningstedt, the route quickly heads out into green meadows and rural Sylt in the east of the island. After the green, the landscape turns purple, at least when the heather is in bloom in July and August. Then you cross the Braderup Heath, which offers a magnificent view of the northern bay of Sylt, across the Wadden Sea, and all the way to List. The firm, sandy paths here are perfect for walking. Only a few sections of road bring you back to the starting point at the Friesnkapelle Chapel by the village pond in Wenningstedt.

Directions
You start east from the chapel in Wenningstedt and after a few meters turn onto Kampener Weg, which you follow until you reach the main road. Cross the road and then turn left. At the roundabout, take the first turning and then walk onto Flurstraße opposite. Continue straight ahead and then continue on the narrow path (do not follow Flurstraße to the left) until you reach a T-junction, where you turn right. At the next T-junction, turn left. You now walk straight on the cycle and footpath to Braderup. As soon as you reach the main road, cross it and continue left onto MT-Buchholz-Stich. Take the next turning to the right and then left and you will reach the entrance to the Braderup Heath nature reserve. Choose the path that leads you diagonally straight to the water and follow it for a while. Only after walking along the water for a while do you take the first left turn, which will take you back to the main road. Cross the road, and after a few meters, a narrow path branches off to the left, taking you past the golf course and Kampen Lighthouse back to the start.

Coming from Westerland, follow the L24 towards List. At the Wenningstedt roundabout, take the third exit and then turn right onto Kampener Weg. At the end of the road, turn left and you've reached the starting point.
Some free parking spaces are available directly at the starting point, opposite the Friesenkapelle.
Take bus line 1 from Westerland or List. Get off at the "Hauptstraße/Friesenhof" stop and walk down Kampener Weg opposite to the end. On your left, you'll see the Friesenkapelle, where the trail starts.
