From Tinnum to the beach

The starting point is in the center of Tinnum, by the town hall. Walk along the narrow sandy path opposite and follow it to the end, then turn left. Take the next opportunity to turn right and continue straight ahead. You will cross the L24, the island's main road, so please pay close attention to traffic there. After the intersection, walk to the second parking lot of the Oase zur Sonne, then turn right and walk past the barbecue area along a long wooden walkway to the beach. The beach is the turning point for the running route. Take the same path back to a crossroads in the middle of the meadows. Do not continue straight ahead from where you came on the way there, but take the path on your right. Follow this path until you see a riding stable on the right, and then a paved road branches off to the right - the Wiesengrund. Turn there and walk along the paved road until a sandy path branches off to the left, which you can use to return to the starting point. Continue straight ahead, passing the campsite and the path becomes a road, Ziegeleiweg. At the end of Ziegeleiweg, turn left and after a few meters you'll arrive back at the Tinnum community center. 

Sturdy footwear is recommended. 

There is a small free parking lot behind the Tinnum community center (Dirksstraße 11). 

It can be reached in 3 minutes by bus number 6 from Westerland central bus station, and in 18 minutes by bus "Kleiner Tinnumer." The route starts at the "Tinnum Gemeinde" stop.  

Remember your beach pass! If you enjoy walking along the beach for a while, you can also take a walk up the stairs to the north.

You will be crossing the L24, the island's main road, without traffic lights. Please pay close attention to the traffic there.
