On this inline skating tour you can enjoy the vastness of the east of Sylt on largely car-free streets.

This tour uses the former road between Keitum and Morsum, which was closed to traffic after the construction of the bypass. This wide asphalt road allows you to enjoy the expanse of the Keitum meadows uninterrupted. The view stretches from List, across the Wadden Sea and Morsum, across the single-track railway line back to Keitum. Cows and horses greet you curiously along the path. Train enthusiasts can watch both the regional train and the two car trains. Several benches along the way invite you to linger.

Directions

We start at the Friesensaal parking lot, heading east past Severin*s and the Hünengrab. The route descends once here. At the end of the "Am Tipkenhoog" road, we keep right and turn left onto the car-free road towards Morsum. We follow this road for 1,5 km until the path splits. We follow the right-hand, still paved, road and turn left at the T-junction shortly after, continuing towards Morsum. From the next railway crossing, cars are expected on the route. Therefore, from there, the route can be shortened to avoid them. We follow the "Guartmuasem" road to the entrance of Morsum, using the new asphalt there until we see signs of road damage on the "Üp Kleef" road. We then return along the same route. However, at the second railway crossing, we keep straight ahead instead of right to return to Keitum directly next to the railway line. Arriving at the Gurtstig at the entrance to Keitum, we turn right and drive over the Ingiwai back to the street "Am Tipkenhoog" to get back to the starting point.
