4 playgrounds in 2 kilometers - there's no chance of boredom on this family hike!
Short distances and many adventures in a small space: This tour combines three playgrounds, a skate park, a mini golf course, an aquarium and several places to stop for refreshments to create a varied excursion.

The idyllic playground in the southern woods invites children to climb, romp, and explore. The little wooden train is especially popular with children of all ages.
For older children, the new Sylt multipark with skate park and streetball court offers plenty of action and exercise.
A real highlight awaits visitors at the aquarium: a large bouncy castle. A small Bobby Car track completes the offerings. Right next door are a mini-golf course and a restaurant, perfect for a quick bite. A visit to the aquarium easily extends the trip into a full-day excursion.
The playground at the campsite also has plenty to offer: a mud machine and a large pirate ship provide fun and adventure. Several places to eat and drink are also located nearby – including a pizzeria, an ice cream kiosk, and the Surfhouse with specialty coffees.

Directions

We start at the Westerland campsite parking lot and head straight into the shady Südwäldchen (South Woods). Following winding forest paths and passing a small pond, we reach our first stop: the Südwäldchen playground. We then continue north, where the new Sylt Multipark, with its skate park and streetball court, awaits us at the edge of the woods. From here, we follow the paved bike path to the aquarium and its outdoor playground. We take this same path back. Once back at the Multipark, we keep to the right of the Südwäldchen on the bike path, which leads us directly to the campsite and its playground – our final stop on the tour.

safety instructions

The entire route runs on footpaths and cycle paths away from roads, so the route can easily be covered with a balance bike.

Equipment

Due to the mud machine on the campsite playground, a change of clothes is a good idea. Mud pants are also useful during the colder months. Since three of the four playgrounds have goals, a ball adds extra fun. Beach toys can also be used on the sandy playgrounds. A scooter, skateboard, or bicycle can be brought along for the multi-sports area.
