Through the Sylt dune landscape past the Sansibar to Hörnum - the southernmost town on the island.

This tour continues straight from Westerland via Rantum to Hörnum and back. Since two cycle paths are located along this route, variety is guaranteed for the return journey. The pristine dune landscape between Rantum and Hörnum is best experienced by bike. Along the way, you'll find the famous Zanzibar Island, among other places, but Hörnum is also worth a longer stay. On the way back, you can take a detour to Rantum Harbor, which has become an insider tip in recent years.

Directions

The tour starts in Westerland and takes a direct route via Rantum to Hörnum. On the outward journey, we cycle parallel to the road on the paved bike path to Hörnum. On the return journey, we take the old island railway line, which leads a little further away from the road through the dune landscape. This path is mostly gravel. Back in Westerland, we make a short detour past the Südwäldchen (Southern Forest).
