small northern round trip - from Westerland to List

The tour begins at the Traveling Giant in front of the train station. From here, it goes to the Brandenburg car park. From there, we follow the cycle path parallel to the beach behind the dunes to Wenningstedt. Through Wenningstedt, we cycle past the Haus am Kliff to the village pond. Before reaching the Inselcircus grounds, we turn left towards Kampen. From here, we follow the cycle path that takes us through Kampen, past the lighthouse, along the old island railway line, through the untouched dune landscape. At Blidselbucht, we have to cross the road once and then cycle east of the road past the shifting dune to List and then to the harbor. On the way back, we stay on the paved cycle path parallel to the main road to enjoy the view over the Wadden Sea. Past the Vogelkoje (bird hide), we return to Kampen, where we cycle through the town to the Kupferkanne (copper can). From there, we pass directly the Kampen lighthouse and return to Wenningstedt. We follow the cycle path back to Alt-Westerland, where we pass the old village church of St. Niels and reach the train station.

Since crosswinds from the west or east are to be expected on this tour, windproof clothing and, if necessary, an e-bike are recommended.

The starting point is in the center of Westerland.

In addition to the obligatory fish sandwich at Gosch at Lister Hafen, you should make a second culinary stop for the cakes at Kupferkanne in Kampen.
