Around and through Sylt's sunny south and the small Smurf settlement with the small, enchanted thatched-roof houses situated in the dunes.

A loop with small climbs that are unusual for Sylt, but with plenty of sea views. You'll get to know Hörnum almost completely on this loop, although you'll have to explore the harbor again afterward. The Kersig settlement is a collection of small thatched-roof houses that blend perfectly into the hilly dune landscape. The view from there over the southern tip of the island, the lighthouse, and the neighboring islands of Föhr and Amrum will surely make you forget the exertion of the run for a moment.

Directions

From the parking lot, a narrow, winding path leads up the dune to the Breizh restaurant. To the left of this, a narrow path takes you directly into the Kersig settlement on the Nielsglaat. Follow this path until you can turn right onto a narrow dune path that leads you past the Kap Horn restaurant to the Süderende. Follow this road until the Odde-Wei turns right towards the lighthouse. Do not follow the road up the dune, but take the paved sandy path straight ahead into the small wood. You will then come out at the promenade on the east beach, where you can walk until the next left turn, with fantastic views :) The street "An der Düne" becomes the street "Im grünen Tal" and takes you back to the Kersig settlement. After a short stretch to the right onto the Lorenz de Hahn-Wei, turn right again onto the narrow path to Breizh and down to the parking lot on the Strandweg.

Arrival & Parking

Follow the L24 straight ahead to Hörnum. Opposite the tourist information office, the beach path branches off to the right, at the end of which you'll find the starting point and a parking lot.
At the end of the beach path there is a parking lot with a few free parking spaces.
Take line 2 from Westerland to Hörnum, get off at Strandweg. From there, it's about 200 meters to the end of Strandweg and the start of the running route.
