From the harbor, the route heads north, always within sight of the lighthouse. A paved promenade runs directly along the mudflats, past the Hörnum golf course, to a wooden staircase. This leads up to the dune, offering views of the golf course, the Wadden Sea, and Hörnum harbor. On the other side of the dune, a view of the open sea awaits. After a short descent, the route returns to Hörnum's town center, always heading toward the lighthouse. The final stretch of the route takes you past the church and up a staircase back to the harbor.

Directions
Start towards the harbor and walk past it to the Hotel Budersand, which can be recognized from afar as a wooden building. Pass this hotel on the right onto the footpath. You now have the sea on your right and the Hörnum golf course on your left. Continue along the footpath, which circles the golf course. Cross the dune and follow the path to the main road. Turn left there and follow the road until you can turn left again for the first time - onto Berliner Ring. Follow this road even though the name changes to Hangstraße. Only turn left at Oberer Dünenweg. After this elevation, a long stone staircase takes you back down to the harbor. From there, just once more in short intervals: right, left, right :) and you are back at the starting point.

From Westerland take the L24 south, almost all the way through Hörnum, to the car park near the harbour.
There is a large paid parking lot at the starting point.
Take line 2 from Westerland or any point along the way to the Hörnum Hafen bus stop.
