Circular tour in the Westerland South Forest with 10 fitness steles of TSV Westerland

On this short forest trail, 10 easy fitness exercises await those who enjoy exercise. The exercises are clearly explained with videos that can be accessed via QR codes on the pillars located throughout the forest. However, the course can also be completed without a mobile phone, as photos on the pillars further explain the movements and indicate the next station.

Our tip

The nearby Himmelsleiter with its many steps can be used as an extra exercise unit.

Directions

We start at the northern edge of the southern grove with the first warm-up exercise. We then follow the route description on the stele south to the second station, where squats await us. After running cross-country to the third station, we pass the small pond to the fourth station. We stay along the eastern edge of the grove and walk towards the campsite. Shortly before that, we head north again to the central pond, where we complete the ninth station. The tenth and final station is located on the northwest edge of the grove.

How to find us

The Südwäldchen is located at the southern exit of Westerland and is 2 km from Westerland train station.

Parking

The nearest free parking is either south of the Südwäldchen at the Westerländer campsite or north of the Sylt stadium at Schützenplatz.

Public transportation

The nearest bus stop is "Westerland-Campingplatz" on line 2 or "Sylt-Stadion" or "Südwäldchen" on city bus line A.
