Hörnum is also home to the Sylt Catamaran Club, whose clubhouse is located right next to the harbor. The clubhouse houses a catamaran sailing school, offering guests the opportunity to take beginner and advanced courses.

Experienced sailing instructors gently introduce beginners to the basics of catamaran sailing in courses for teenagers (ages 12 and up) and adults. Basic theoretical concepts and practical techniques are taught in theory and practice. All you need to bring is a passion for water sports, a certain amount of fitness, and flexibility. Sailing takes place on the east side of Hörnum, in the triangular area between Sylt, Amrum, and Föhr, within sight of Hörnum Beach.
