South Grove

Tip:
Forests
An idyllic forest in the south of Westerland

In the south of Westerland – between the stadium and the campsite – the Southern Forest stretches behind the dunes. The natural surroundings are largely characterized by conifers. At the edge of the forest, there are also deciduous trees and a few Japanese cherry trees, which add a great deal of color to the green of the forest, especially in spring. In the center of the Southern Forest is a beautifully landscaped pond – popularly known as the duck pond. Benches here invite you to take a breather. Tip: A spacious playground for families has been created in the middle of the forest.
