North Grove

Between Westerland and Wenningstedt lies the North Woods. The woods are known for their colorful array of flowers in spring. Among other things, you'll find ornamental currants, violets, and buttercups, as well as several deciduous trees that characterize the woods. Berry pickers will also find blackberry bushes in the undergrowth. Incidentally, these are best in autumn! Another section of the North Woods extends westward toward the beach. A walk that's definitely worth it.

The North Woods also offers ideal conditions for joggers, thanks to its soft forest floor. There are also exercise equipment in the southeast corner for a great workout!
