ATTENTION: The nature center is currently undergoing major renovations and is expected to reopen on July 14, 2025.

What does an oystercatcher sound like? What animals live in the mudflats? Why do we need to maintain the heathland, and how do we do it?

The exhibition in the Braderup Nature Centre provides insights into the special features of the “Braderuper Heath” and “Morsum Cliff” nature reserves and the “Schleswig-Holstein Wadden Sea” National Park.
In addition, you will find many food for thought on current environmental issues – lovingly prepared and clearly explained.
The nature conservation team is available to answer questions and provide explanations and looks forward to your visit.

Tip:
Tours of the in-house herb garden, including tea tasting, are also exciting. The nature conservation association also offers hikes through the heath, a bike tour through five nature reserves, and mudflat hikes for families. All information can be found here: www.naturschutz-sylt.de

The exhibition is closed until April 2025.
The building will be upgraded with an expanded photovoltaic system, the gas heating will be replaced with another heat source for the rooms, and the walls and floor will be insulated.

The nature exhibition will also be given a new look after the closure.

Closing days: Sunday, all public holidays closed
