Bridge of Lies

The Liar Bridge is located in the middle of nature between Munkmarsch and Keitum. This small bridge prevents wet feet during floods. It gets its name from its much more unstable predecessor. Parents used to tell their children that if they lied and walked across the unstable bridge, it would collapse. Now that the bridge is sturdily built, no child falls for this story anymore – but the name remains. The Liar Bridge is especially worth seeing at sunrise and sunset.
