List-East Lighthouse

What building more clearly indicates that you're at the long-awaited sea than a lighthouse? It's no wonder that List on Sylt boasts two. Nestled in the idyllic landscape in the eastern part of the Ellenbogen (Elbow) is the List-Ost lighthouse. The lighthouse is one of four functioning beacons on the island and still guides sailors today. It's a popular tourist destination and photo opportunity. Unfortunately, it's not open to visitors.
