To ensure that not only you and your dog, but also all other beachgoers can enjoy a relaxing time, we ask you to observe the following: "Dog Etiquette" to keep in mind:

• Between 15 March and 31 October Dogs are only allowed to go to the water at designated dog beaches. 
• Walking from dog beach to dog beach along the water's edge is permitted, provided your dog is on a leash. This exception does not apply to Westerland and Rantum.
• Only the access paths to the dog beach may be used as paths to the beach.

• Between 1 November and 14 March Your dog enjoys even more freedom: Every beach access point on the west coast can be used.

• The following applies at all times on the beaches: The dog must always be kept in such a way that it does not pose any danger - a leash may be necessary for this. 

• Basic leash requirement throughout the year on all beaches on the east side (Wadden Sea) as well as at the Ellenbogen in List.
