Municipal office in Kampen

The mayor of the municipality of Kampen is Stefanie Böhm. Appointments are available by appointment.

The municipalities of Kampen, Wenningstedt-Braderup, List and Hörnum together form the Amt Landschaft Sylt.

The office is managed on a voluntary basis by the district administrator, who is elected from the district committee. The district committee consists of the mayors of the municipalities and, depending on the size of the municipality, other municipal representatives. With a population of approximately 4.500, the office no longer meets the minimum size requirements of the Administrative Structure Reform Act, which stipulates that districts with their own administration must have at least 8.000 residents. The Sylt Regional Office therefore uses the administration of the municipality of Sylt through a management contract. The municipality of Sylt handles all administrative matters of the office.
The political autonomy of each municipality within the district is maintained. Each municipality maintains its own municipal office for its citizens. The Kampen municipality is committed to providing service and proximity to its citizens as its top priority.
