Galerie Rudolf has been in existence for 48 years now. Founded in 1977 in Heidelberg by
Gernot Rudolf, a branch in Keitum on Sylt was added from 1994 to 2021.
Since 2004, his daughter Annegret Rudolf has been running the gallery in Kampen on Sylt.
The gallery's work focuses on the great painters and important art movements
of the 20th century: International classics such as Pablo Picasso, Marc Chagall,
Salvador Dali and Georges Braque are the German painters of Expressionism
and towards abstraction.
There are larger groups of works by Otto Dix, Lyonel Feininger, Otto Mueller,
Franz Radziwill, Karl Hofer, Max Liebermann and Emil Nolde, as well as works
the Brücke painters Erich Heckel, Karl Schmidt-Rottluff, Ernst Ludwig Kirchner and Max
Hermann Pechstein. The painters of the Blue Rider are represented by Gabriele Münter,
Marianne von Werefkin and Alexej von Jawlensky. A special
The gallery focuses on works by the Stuttgart School of Max Ackermann,
Willi Baumeister, Ida Kerkovius and Adolf Hölzel. The
Gallery program with a special selection of works by Heinrich Zille and
Hermann Hesse. The gallery's location has attracted artists such as Will Sohl,
Siegward Sprotte, Otto Eglau, Emil Maetzel and Dorothea Maetzel-Johannsen as well as
Klaus Fussmann.
In addition to the gallery work on Sylt, the Rudolf Gallery shows every year at numerous
Art fairs offer a selected cross-section of the gallery program.
