At the designated dog beaches on Sylt, your dogs can play, splash around and romp around without having to be on a leash.

South of the Samoa beach crossing is the Samoa Dog Beach (beach section 5.62.1). This is also a nudist beach. From the Samoa paid parking lot, which houses the Samoa Seahorse restaurant and public restrooms, you can walk along a sandy path directly to the beach. The dog beach begins a few meters south.

In Rantum, the Samoa and Sandwall Nord beach crossings are also accessible for people with disabilities, with car access up to just before the crossing and step-free access. Two beach wheelchairs are available for rental by appointment from the Island of Sylt Tourism Service at Strandweg 7 in Rantum. A swimming wheelchair is also available at the Samoa crossing.
