Wadden Sea Ark
The Nature Experience Center, located in the former Hörnum church, offers a spacious and family-friendly exhibition on the Wadden Sea National Park, spread over two floors, with numerous aquariums and a walk-through wooden ark. Since 2013, children and adults have been learning a wealth of fascinating information about the flora and fauna of the island of Sylt. In addition to the permanent exhibition, attractive special exhibitions on various topics are presented. These are included in the admission price.

A charging station for e-bikes (free of charge) and one for electric cars (11KW on a donation basis) are available exclusively for visitors.

- General information on accessibilityThe Wadden Sea Conservation Station's exhibition in the former Catholic church in Hörnum opened in the summer of 2013. The exhibition focuses on the open North Sea. In the "Arche," visitors of all ages can playfully experience the underwater landscape, understand connections, and deepen their knowledge. The exhibition is wheelchair accessible.
Arrival & Parking
- Hörnum Steintal bus stop (line 2) is about 50 meters away from the direction of travel (coming from Westerland). Bicycle parking is available directly in front of the house.
