Immerse yourself in the way of life of the people of Sylt in the 18th and 19th centuries.
The Old Frisian House is located on the Keitum mudflats. The former home of the teacher and chronicler Christian Peter Hansen was built in 1739 and represents the typical architecture of that time. It is one of the few captain's houses that is open to the public and can be viewed from the inside. The furnishings have been largely preserved, allowing you to step back into the 18th and 19th centuries.
To learn more about the Captain's House, you can join the regular guided tours or visit it independently.
