206 steps separate you from one of the most beautiful vantage points – the dune balcony. From here, you have the best view of the shifting dune area. In autumn, fog hangs in the dune valleys; on a clear day, you have a clear view all the way to the North Sea in the west. Take a seat and enjoy the peace and quiet.

Pure North Sea
On the long sandy beaches around List, you can find an idyllic spot even in high season. On the impressive Weststrand, surrounded by pristine dunes on the open North Sea, you can swim regardless of the tide. Divided into nudist, textile-wear, youth, and dog-friendly areas, everyone will find the perfect spot.
The opposite of the lively west beach is the quiet and family-friendly east beach, located just a short walk from the town center on the mudflat side. There, the water is shallow and calm at high tide, and when it recedes at low tide, you can observe life on the mudflats up close. In the summer months, lifeguards are also on duty, watching over the well-being of bathers.
