The Natural Forces Adventure Center
in List on Sylt

Whether you're a little explorer or a big adventurer, there's something for everyone to marvel at here!

A visit to the Natural Forces Experience Center offers a fascinating opportunity to experience and understand the powerful forces of nature up close. Interactive exhibitions and exciting presentations transport visitors to the world of marine habitats, allowing them to explore questions that spark curiosity and deepen their knowledge. For example, you'll learn more about the dynamics of shifting dunes and their impressive annual migration across the landscape, or about the extraordinary strategies birds use to survive the violent storms of a hurricane. With vivid models and vivid explanations, the center not only imparts knowledge but also raises awareness of the fragility of our environment. This blend of education and entertainment makes the visit not only informative but also an unforgettable experience for the whole family.

The wind blows your hair in your face, sand and shells crunch under your rubber boots, an oystercatcher pecks at worms – a typical scene that guests experience during a mudflat tour with the Natural Forces team. The sight of a vast, seemingly endless landscape never ceases to captivate visitors, as the changing tides transform the area anew every day. To the untrained eye, the landscape may appear like a dreary muddy world – but the mudflats are teeming with life. Invisible to the naked eye, a fascinating network of living creatures unfolds beneath the surface, adapting seamlessly to the challenges of nature. We will show you the animals and plants of this fascinating habitat and World Heritage Site right on our doorstep. Every mudflat tour is an exciting expedition where you can discover the unique biodiversity that characterizes this special habitat.

Discover the island's 360-degree cinema

in the Natural Forces Adventure Center

The Syltdome was completed after years of planning and construction at the Natural Forces Adventure Center. The island's only 360-degree cinema, with comfortable, reclining seats, invites you to discover the impressive natural surroundings of Sylt and the Wadden Sea World Heritage Site.
The Syltdome is located in the "Forces of the North Sea" exhibition. Here, visitors are guided through the world of the North Sea through multimedia. But there are also a few other highlights waiting for you in the other themed rooms, "Climate, Weather, Climate Research" and "Living with Natural Forces."
