Beach chair auction
The List Tourist Board on Sylt invites all interested parties to bid on authentic List beach chairs on the second weekend in October. On October 11, 2025, the auction will be closed: First, second, third bid – sold!
For two decades, the event has attracted numerous Sylt residents, Sylt fans, and beach chair lovers to the far north of the island. What once began as a small auction has evolved over the years into an integral part of the island's autumn traditions. The baskets, which carry the sand and stories of summer in their crevices, not only offer a unique souvenir of time at the beach but are also a true highlight for the home garden or holiday home.
Approximately one week before the auction, the baskets will be available at the harbor in List on Sylt for inspection and testing. This allows each participant to get a thorough impression before the bids are placed on auction day. And, of course, the thrill of an auction is guaranteed. Whether as a gift for a special occasion, as an eye-catcher for the patio, or simply as a personal retreat for next summer – there are many reasons to get a basket.
Important! The beach chair must be paid for to the auctioneer by debit/Mastercard/Visa card or cash after the auction has ended.
