A trip to the seal banks allows you to observe the North Sea's most placid creatures in their natural habitat, the sandbanks off Sylt. Depending on the tide, you might see entire colonies of hundreds of animals, or sometimes just a small family. During the tour, the sailors lower a small net into the water and show you on board what's lurking on the seabed. You might find everything from mussels to algae, crabs, and starfish. This makes the trip not just entertaining but also an interesting educational experience for all ages. With a bit of luck, you might even see a few porpoises leaping through the waves of Hörnum.
So keep your eyes open and go full speed ahead!

From Hörnum, the MS “Adler VI” takes you to the seal banks, including sea animal catching.
