Our cuisine bears the signature of head chef Markus Gehrlach and his team: precise, creative and characterized by a modern, Nordic aromatic style.
Markus combines high-quality products with regional influences and surprising accents – authentic, handcrafted and at the same time wonderfully accessible.
The ever-changing menu reflects this attitude: currently, for example, tartare of Husum beef, poached Sylt egg or salmon-pike-perch carpaccio, as well as signature dishes such as truffle tagliarini, saithe with pumpkin risotto or beef fillet with truffled salsify, and fine desserts such as nougat mousse, crème brûlée, homemade ice cream or truffled Brie Meaux with fruit bread.

A special highlight is our in-house Sturmbräu brewery: a place where brewing art comes alive.
Here, distinctive beers are created – brewed using traditional methods, with modern influences and a good dose of passion.
During brewery tours, tastings and experiential formats, guests immerse themselves in the world of malt, hops, Sylt air and fermentation – enjoyable, informative and with great passion from our brewer Pascal Neumann.
The Sturmhaube Kiosk – uncomplicated, delicious, all year round.
Our kiosk is an integral part of the Sturmhaube – popular with walkers, bathers, island children and regular guests.
All year round we offer fresh snacks, warming soups, homemade cakes, crisp salads, and of course our legendary Amazing Fries in various versions.
Whether as a takeaway for the beach or to enjoy on our spacious terrace. With its large parasol, patio heaters and movable glass walls, it is completely weatherproof – a sheltered place to combine the power of nature with comfort.

Autumn and winter bring a festive atmosphere: readings, cultural evenings, pop-up formats and our Christmas market, which offers a modern interpretation of Sylt traditions.
Our event space – overlooking the vastness of the dunes and the North Sea – offers room for private celebrations, corporate events, cultural programs and changing partner pop-ups.
