Classic French cuisine with seasonal elements. A feast for the eyes, too: Belle Époque style, including in the legendary "Bar Miramar." A new lounge, spacious dining rooms, and a chic restaurant terrace with expansive ocean views are also available. Outside guests are warmly welcome. An international breakfast buffet, lunch, and main menu, from herring fillet with dill sauce on Sylt black bread to grilled veal fillet, skin-on pike-perch fillet, and Madras vegetable curry. Upon reservation: seafood (mussels, lobster, caviar, oysters) and fondues. An extensive wine and cocktail list.
Dining here is at a level that combines classic cuisine with contemporary culinary trends. The kitchen team always pays attention to regional and seasonal produce, offering seasonal asparagus, chanterelles, and freshly caught North Sea fish. They complement the classic dishes with seasonal ingredients (filled puff pastry pie with creamed mushrooms and green asparagus, North Sea sole "Müllerin style," Sylt rack of lamb, and Tahitian vanilla crème brûlée with seasonal berries).
Fortunately, the menus are valid all day, so even takeaway guests can dine on their own schedule and find their culinary delights. In good weather, the best place to enjoy them is the dune terrace with its sea view. There, you can savor the main and lunch dishes and simply indulge yourself (Sylt crab soup, pan-fried scallops on a warm lentil salad, or the sirloin steak), while discovering wonderful evergreens like the Chateaubriand and the beef Stroganoff, for which a return visit (and pre-order!) will be noted in the calendar.
During opening hours.
You can find the complete restaurant report in the current book Sylt à la carte. Available nationwide at bookstores, price €16,80, or in our online shop at www.eiland.de
