The consistent success story of this restaurant has been largely written by owner Pius Regli for a quarter of a century. The Swiss, who long ago traded the tranquil mountains for the bustling North Sea, is a passionate, resourceful, and tireless entrepreneur. His daughter Sarah has since become a highly supportive companion.
A fundamentally honest, wonderful cuisine, based on the best tradition, always delights many regular guests and turns newcomers into repeat customers.
Very nice: You can also order smaller portions of the lunch dishes. But do you really want that? After all, everything here is so delicious you'll want to stay put. Must-try: the Wiener Schnitzel (with everything!), rigatoni in Thai curry with chicken breast, the "Pahl" burger with fries, the roast beef with fried potatoes. And those pancakes! Mmm! The chef offers, for example, stunning veal frikadelle, but also oxtail ragout with mashed potatoes, or turbot fried on the skin with balsamic lentils and thyme potatoes – the seemingly simple takes on a special touch at "Pahl."
