La Pergola has become an integral part of Wenningstedt – a restaurant offering traditional Italian cuisine, fresh quality, and hospitality, established for over 20 years. "La Pergola" is what the Italians call a covered outdoor seating area or gazebo. And that's exactly what the dedicated southerner Mikush Tunaj has created behind the Wenningstedt dunes: a "high-tech pergola" of the very best! Thanks to a transparent, modern roofing system, the large terrace with 120 seats is transformed in minutes into a cozy, wind-protected winter garden – let's call it a "luxury gazebo"! The view of the North Sea and the setting sun can be enjoyed until the very last moment, regardless of the weather. The wide selection of pizzas, pastas, and classic Italian dishes like veal liver with sage or saltimbocca alla Romana makes choosing difficult – and then there's the frequently changing seasonal specials with tender lamb fillets, lamb chops, and beef fillets, delicious, or better yet, "buonissimo" or simply "delizioso"! It's amazing what long-time head chef Don Pasquale Vassalo has brought with him to Sylt in terms of culinary inspiration from Tuscany.
