Small tea room under thatch in old Frisian flair
In Keitum, a visit to the charming Little Tea Room is a must-do for a stroll through the village. The thatched roof is cozy and lovingly decorated. Outside, you'll love hiding in a sheltered corner or under a parasol.
Starting at 11 a.m., a delicious snack with tomatoes, ham, or crab is served. At lunch, a hot baked potato with sour cream and crab is offered.
The cake is, of course, homemade. Favorites include the Friesentorte (Frisian cake) and freshly baked waffles with blackberries and sour cream, blueberry pancakes, and rice pudding.
It goes without saying that the Little Tea Room offers a wide selection of teas for Frisian teatime. 80 different teas are available, from Frisian tea to rooibos, fruit teas, and even Chinese rarities. We read on Tripadvisor about a couple from Hanover: "A perfect selection of tea and homemade cakes. The poppy seed cake is a dream." – Well, there you go!
