The sea and the sunsets are nowhere closer or more beautiful. Within walking distance from the beach or through the dunes along the Kampen lighthouse. A large sun veranda with 100 outdoor seats and 55 indoor seats. An extensive selection of small appetizers, including dates, mussel and avocado salad, and vegetable sticks with guacamole and tahini. Stews such as potato soup with bacon, and main courses. The focus is on fish, with a roasted halibut fillet with buttered carrots and parsley potatoes.
On a sunny day, stop by Kaamps7 after a stroll on the beach and gaze out at the North Sea surf from the terrace—it doesn't get more Sylt than this. This stilt-built restaurant, in a magnificent location not far from the Red Cliff, continues to develop into a popular beach and day-trip restaurant. A real hotspot! Here, you can easily strike up a conversation over snacks like "Cinque Terre" octopus salad, hummus with grilled vegetables, or pastrami in vinaigrette with red onions.
The motto: "We're by the sea, so we work a lot with fish," is wonderfully expressed in a succulent roasted wolffish fillet with fennel, tomatoes, artichoke bottoms, new baby potatoes, Pernod butter, and herbs. The prawns on a risotto with toasted pine nuts and shaved Parmesan go particularly well with the house's own Kaamps7 Rosé from Werther-Windisch in Reinhessen.
