Culinary moments in Kampen's center
The restaurant name Kaamp Meren has a truly Frisian feel. Right! In High German, it means "Kampen's center." Here at Kaamp Hüs, all the tourist attractions converge, and this is where everyone who enjoys good food meets. The tried-and-tested "Team à la Kampen": Beate and Werner "Muffel" Stoltenberg, as well as the chef in charge of the kitchen, ensure that everyone feels at home. The chef is always up for any culinary surprise. His motto: variety of flavors. Thus, the entire menu is available throughout the day. In the spring, for example, we saw snail pans or shrimp pans, vegetable carpaccio, and salmon tartare with horseradish mousse. Of course, the traditional beef roulade or roast beef are not to be missed. The menu on the blackboard changes frequently. The zander fillet with carrot and kohlrabi vegetables and mashed potatoes is tempting. Meat lovers will be delighted with a rack of lamb in a herb crust and beluga lentils. The semi-liquid chocolate cake provides a delicious finishing touch.
