Fitschen at the village pond
A tranquil sun terrace with beach chairs. A new, maritime-inspired winter garden. Regional dishes with Baden and Mediterranean accents. Market-fresh specials are served daily on the special menu. A weekly changing 4-course menu.
For many years, the Hotel and Restaurant Fitschen am Dorfteich has been known not only for its creative cuisine, but also for its extremely accommodating hostess, Verena Fitschen, who immediately makes you feel like part of this extended family. Her husband, Manfred, is in charge of the kitchen and oversees the cooking. While daughter Claudia serves as restaurant manager, her Sicilian husband and sous chef, Cristian, has focused on enriching the menu with Mediterranean upgrades.
You can look forward to the scampi à la Cristian, which, with perfectly cooked spaghetti, makes a remarkable starter – beware: it's spicy! The white halibut fillet also comes with a southern accompaniment, namely with perfect vegetable bulgur, which even loyal regulars rave about. The selection is so diverse that it's hard to decide: the duet of goose liver with apple chutney, the tartar of salmon, herring, and tuna with seaweed salad, or the linguine with truffles and truffle cream sauce. Fortunately, Fitschen is open for lunch, so you can fortify yourself for the second half of the day with a hearty meal, or simply enjoy life with coffee and homemade cake.
There is a children's toy box for children and dogs are allowed with registration.
Please read the complete restaurant report in the current book Sylt à la carte. Available nationwide in bookstores or in our online shop at www.eiland.de
