Tradition is a commitment – ​​after all, the Fährhaus Sylt has stood for hospitality and fine culinary delights for over 150 years. Like the Käpt'n Selmer Stube, which captivates guests with Frisian charm, Nordic-purist design, and carefully composed culinary delights. Mudflat walkers and cyclists enjoy taking a lunch break on the veranda and treating themselves to delicacies from the kitchen. Markus Gerlach is in charge here. His preference for regional products and his straightforward culinary style distinguish the chef in the kitchen – no frills on the plate. Rather, an honest "Bourride Fährhaus" made with crustaceans and North Sea fish. Or a baked veal schnitzel.
From 14 p.m. to 16.30:XNUMX p.m., homemade cake specialties tempt you: the Friesentorte with plum jam and sour cream is not to be missed.
And in the evening? You can look forward to delicacies from the sea and land with a finely balanced interplay of flavors. For example, the crown of suckling pig, accompanied by green asparagus and caper-potato mousseline, or the Skrei with roasted pointed cabbage, scallops, and carrot butter.
