The Osteria at the campsite in Westerland is a pretty casual meeting place for anyone who enjoys the relaxed and lively island life. Whether surfer or not, islander or guest, banker or salesman – everyone is welcome to find happiness here, and children are allowed to simply be children.

The menu is straightforward, as befits such a location, and offers a wide selection. Mediterranean delicacies are the focus – which is why the osteria's rather tempting aroma of herbs fills the air. The Ticino minestrone is a good starter. And then the choice gets a little tricky: pizza, pasta, meat, and fish—they're all there. And in generous portions, too.

Classics include the Piccata Milanese veal escalope on tomato spaghetti with fresh herbs. Or the lamb fillet on garden-fresh, colorful vegetables with potato gratin. These deliciously fragrant delicacies are served rustically in a pan – delicious! And the pizza, with its crispy thin base and delicious toppings, tailored to the customer's taste, is a must-try.
