Casually stylish interior in a modern, colorful beach house look. Terrace. Family-friendly. A distinct chef's signature. A separate steak menu. Around 300 wines, including an extensive selection of Grand Crus.
Casual enjoyment, a relaxed, airy beach house ambiance, and the feeling of being a guest at a friend's house – that's what enjoyment à la Coast is all about! In the restaurant at the foot of the Rantum dunes, host Jan-Hendrik Rose and head chef Tobias Evers aim to pamper their guests as if they were friends in their own living room. Creative, fresh cuisine with products from land and sea, never standing still, but constantly being inspired – that is Tobias Evers' credo. The head chef also enjoys getting ideas from guest chefs at the Gourmet Festival Sylt, of which Coast is one of the five hosts. "Our Mexican guest chef inspired me to create the tartar that we now have on the menu," says Evers. This very beef tartar with mild chili sauce and crispy tortilla would be a great start to an enjoyable evening. For the main course, things can go regional again with the braised Sylt lamb shank. Especially since the interplay of textures and flavors with swede and cocoa crunch puree is a delight for the palate. Those who prefer fishing in Neptune's realm should opt for the coalfish fillet, accompanied by fennel, mashed potatoes, and chorizo.
