Especially during the season or on weekends, the roads and car trains can be crowded. To avoid long waiting times or traffic jams, we recommend timely reservation of a parking space – whether on the car train or the ferry.
Tip: Please ask your guests to to arrive or depart during the week – this way they avoid the highest traffic volumes.

The TSWB provides the required overnight stay figures through its guest card system, eliminating the need for additional reporting by the accommodation provider to the SVG.

This is provided the content is up-to-date and regularly reviewed and corrected. This is often tedious and time-consuming for individual hosts. With a standardized guest folder, we aim to both ease the burden on hosts and ensure that guests are provided with relevant information.

Whether it's an educational evening, project day, festival or cultural picnic, the cargo bike cinema can be borrowed free of charge for non-commercial events and can be used flexibly.

Since 1 January 2023 A reusable offer is no longer just a voluntary service – it is required by law. This is regulated by the Packaging Act (§ 33, § 34 Packaging Act).

The currently most widespread provider of deposit containers on Sylt is RECOVER (for drinks) and REBOWL (for food). Of course, you can also choose another reusable supplier—there are now many suitable systems for a wide variety of food offerings.

Promote the consumption of tap water in holiday accommodation
Natural. Sustainable. Nordic freshness.
Sylt's drinking water is excellent. Sterile and enriched with traces of calcium, magnesium, and sodium, it comes from the island's freshwater lens. Yet, far too often, thirst is quenched with water from plastic bottles. The "Klare Kante Sylt" initiative aims to change this and raise awareness of drinking water as a local, climate-friendly, and resource-saving product. Switching from bottled water to tap water reduces the CO02 emissions associated with production, logistics, transport, and disposal, and avoids plastic waste.
In order to inform holidaymakers about the quality of local drinking water and to promote its consumption, the Sylt Marketing Company, together with project partners Bye Bye Plastik Sylt and the Sylt Landscape Association (LZV), has printed small table displays for hotel rooms and holiday apartments.
