When it comes to music on Sylt, the Henner Krogh Foundation is the most important partner. It forms the island's cultural backbone and has been supporting young musicians for many years. With prize money, the music workshop in Rantum, and sustainably secured funding, the foundation supports young talent—including those from socially disadvantaged families—and thus enriches Sylt's cultural landscape in a unique way.
Dive in, join in and discover the world of music!
Who was Henner Krogh?
During the Sylt Family Weeks, not only the music itself will be celebrated, but also the history of the Krogh family and the work of the foundation will be brought to life. Kinowelt Sylt: DANCING QUEEN
The passion for dancing knows no bounds by age or physical limitations: 12-year-old Mina, who was previously quite content with her nerd life, learns this too. Her newfound love of hip-hop sets the stage for an exciting transformation. Dancing Queen is a charming and original journey through puberty, accompanied by plenty of rousing music that doesn't shy away from serious topics.

Kinowelt Sylt: CIRCUS CHILD
Santiano is a circus child. His great-grandfather is one of Germany's last great circus directors and tells him the stories of his ancestors: of contortionists, death-defying tricks, and bull elephants. CIRCUS CHILD tells the story of Germany's last nomads – of growing up with extended family and animals, of a life without a safety net, free as a bird. A documentary road movie for children and their families about the life of a circus family, between realism and magic.

Sölring Museums: One Ticket - Four Museums
Not only is there much to tell about the people of Sylt and their history, but there's also plenty to discover on-site. Whether in the Keitum museums, where you can find out where families slept in the Old Frisian House or how they kept their houses warm, or on the Kampen Bird Hide Nature Trail, which was used as a duck trap 250 years ago and is now a beautiful nature reserve with interactive elements. One highlight is the Denghoog Stone Age tomb. This 5.000-year-old passage grave is one of the few megalithic tombs in the world that is still accessible and where you can immerse yourself. Have fun exploring!
Savings tip during the family weeks: The combination ticket "Museum Island" for 34,50 euros - admission (1 adult & all children) for all 4 museums.
