Convince yourself!
For me, home means a place – or a feeling – where I feel safe, understood, and connected. It's where I'm surrounded by familiar things: people, memories, rituals, landscapes, or simply a certain feeling about life. For me, home is Sylt.Kim

A €5,00 donation per person will be made towards the next film project of the municipality of Sylt. The donation will be collected on site.
However, for better planning, it is still necessary to purchase a €0 ticket in advance via the booking portal.
The approximately 40-minute film brings together 16 young people from Sylt with the older generation. Through conversations and personal recollections, they share what life on the island means to them – past, present, and future. This creates a multifaceted picture of the island's transformation and the bonds between generations.
Together with filmmaker Paula Wehmeyer, youth worker Holger Bünte, Alexander Römer from Sylt Museums and Ascan Dieffenbach from the Husum Adult Education Center, this unique historical document was created in a 5-day workshop as part of the Sylt municipality's autumn holiday program with all participants.
Our money-saving tip
Sölring Museums: One Ticket - Four Museums
Not only is there much to tell about the people of Sylt and their history, but there's also plenty to discover on-site. Whether in the Keitum museums, where you can find out where families slept in the Old Frisian House or how they kept their houses warm, or on the Kampen Bird Hide Nature Trail, which was used as a duck trap 250 years ago and is now a beautiful nature reserve with interactive elements. One highlight is the Denghoog Stone Age tomb. This 5.000-year-old passage grave is one of the few megalithic tombs in the world that is still accessible and where you can immerse yourself. Have fun exploring!
Savings tip during the family weeks: The combination ticket "Museum Island" for 34,50 euros - admission (1 adult & all children) for all 4 museums.
