holidays with your pet on Sylt

The island as an ideal holiday destination for four-legged friends

Sylt is a very dog-friendly island, and there are many places you can explore with your dog. The island offers numerous opportunities for a relaxing holiday with four-legged friendsThere are designated dog beaches all over the island. Dogs are also allowed from November 1 to March 14 walk off-leash on most beaches.

Even away from the beaches, Sylt scores with dog-friendly accommodations, restaurants that welcome dogs, and a well-developed network of trails for long walks or bike rides. Many bike rental shops offer dog trailers or baskets, and dogs can travel for free on public transport.

However, there are also rules that must be observed, such as the requirement to keep dogs on a leash in certain areas to protect free-roaming sheep or nesting birds. As long as these rules are respected, Sylt is a true paradise for dogs and their owners.
